An Important Update:
Firstly I just to say a massive thank you to those of you who have kindly signed up to our online sessions starting on Monday! Also a big thank you to those of you who have kindly donated. Whilst I appreciate these are very difficult times for a lot of people at the moment I still need more of your support in order to build on the success, continue to protect and ultimately safeguard the future of Choirmaster so we can return. Unfortunately, so far only a very small amount of people have signed up for our July sessions or donated.
As with many businesses, Choirmaster has been purely relying on savings since March. I hoped as I am sure you all did that things would have been back to normal a lot sooner. Sadly this has not happened and there is no news from the Government of choirs being able to return any time in the near future.
I want to be very open and frank with you that in order to operate Choirmaster there are a substantial amount of costs. With the exception of venue hire and printing all of the outgoings have been continued operating costs throughout the lockdown period. This includes the creation of all the musical resources for all past / future songs, lyrics and sheet music, copyright, the ongoing maintenance of our websites, domain costs and emails. In addition to this we have our graphic design and musical software, insurance costs, licenses as well as ongoing costs to equipment.
Since launching Choirmaster, we have had so many wonderful experiences together, raised almost £2600 for charity, brought hundreds of people together and given so much to our wonderful community! I am determined to keep our wonderful choir alive whatever it takes.
